2001-11-20 If you installed older versions of Netscape on your Windows NT system after installing Microsoft Office with Outlook, you may find that trying to launch MS Outlook yields the error message 
The ordinal 36 could not be located in the dynamic link library MAPI32.dll 

This may be caused by older versions of Netscape replacing the file C:\winnt\system32\mapi32.dll (length 864Kb) with a one having length 67K.  To fix this problem for Office 97 when using Netscape 4.5 or newer,

   1.Log onto your system with administrator privileges 
   2.Rename the file C:\winnt\system32\mapi32.dll to C:\winnt\system32\mapi32sav.dll 
   3.Download a copy of the original mapi32.dll file into C:\winnt\system32\mapi32.dll (ftp://pier.ecn.purdue.edu/pub/simmons/Programs/mapi32.dll)
   4.Reboot your system
