GENERAL NOTES:

04/07/13 - Now running WinNT with security administrator page and web-based interface.

The stores2 computer is set up to do an automatic logon when it is rebooted.  The username is stores and the password is Hen.219!

Normally after turning on the computer it will automatically logon.  To interrupt the logon process (so that you can log on as another user) you need to press the shift key while the logon process is executing.  You will then get the normal login prompt.  After you have finished, the autologon will not work until you change the username to stores and enter the password.  After that, the autologon should again work.

All the files are now kept on the physics server.  The stores home directory is mounted on the S: drive.

The program STORESWD.EXE is automatically run after login (cf. stores2.cmd) and upon exiting the program, the machine goes through its autologon sequence.

The autologon is controlled via registry entries (both are Reg_SZ):

You need to have config.nt and autoexec.nt in the C:\STORES dir.  Autoexec.nt is just the default one copied from C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\.  Config.nt is the default one, copied from C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\, with the files line changed to be FILES=75.

The id stores needs to be set up on the PHYS_CLAB domain, with the login script name set to stores2.cmd, and the home dir is the S: drive connected to \\physics\homes.  Hours are restricted to 4am to 9pm.  Logon is restricted to stores2, stores, and trek.

The stores2.cmd file is placed in c:\winnt\system32\repl\export\scripts and is replicated to c:\winnt\system32\repl\export\scripts on the PDC and the BDC.  The file contents are:
