The systems were initialized with a disk image of a template system using the g4u program (v 2.1). This program is actually a memory-based stripped down FreeBSD, which is booted from cdrom. Then the program can make an exact byte-by byte copy of the disk to a zipped image file which is ftp'ed as a user "install", onto a server, for which "betus" (172.16.102.2) is used .
The following commands were used. Note these invoke a normal ftp; so a username/password is needed. The user is "install", if you do not know the password, reset it on "betus" before using these commands.
uploaddisk betus.phas.ubc.ca h312.20060104.gz wd0
slurpdisk betus.phas.ubc.ca h312.20060104.gz wd0
