1. Login as bigcheese, start Firefox and set the homepage to be http://gamma.phas.ubc.ca/deptoffice/procedures/financeforms.html 2. Copy C:\Users\bigcheese\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla folder to C:\Users\Public folder, and then rename it to Public Mozilla 3. Change Firefox shortcut's properties, both on the Desktop and in the Start Menu, so the Target will be: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -profile "C:\Users\Public\Public Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\profilename.default" 4. Change Privacy option to "Never remember history" *** This method only works when the user start Firefox from either the Desktop or the Start Menu shortcut.
Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 scanner is going to be attached to the computer, so the users need to login with their own account to access the computer.
1. Add the computer to phas.ubc.ca domain.
2. Installed ScanSnap software and Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.
3. Created a group policy "Allow logon locally" applied to the computer:
   Computer Configuration > Policies > Windows Settings > Security Settings:
    Local Policies/User Rights Assignment
      Allow lo o locally: PHAS\staff;PHAS\Grads;PHAS\Faculty;PHAS\Domain Admins;BUILTIN\Administrators
    Local Policies/Security Options > Interactive Logon
      Interactive logon: Do not display last user name: Enabled
      Interactive logon: Do not require CTRL+ALT+DEL: Enabled
   Administrative Templates > Windows Components/Internet Explorer
      Disable changing secondary home page settings: Enabled
        Secondary home pages: http://gamma.phas.ubc.ca/deptoffice/procedures/financeforms.html
4. Removed Opera & Firefox.
Added local account kiosk to be a phas staff account, so it can print from the computer
