OS: Windows XP Pro + SP2
Old Mail Client:Mozilla Suite 1.7.8

PROBLEM: PDF attachments issue
ACTION: Installed and configured Thunderbird
PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS. MORE ACTION TAKEN:Compared Janie's and Mary Ann's e-mail with a PDF file attached, see OTRS ticket #: 1001167. The difference lies with the "Content-Type". Janie's e-mail agent (now Thunderbird) handles PDF attachments differently.
RESOLUTION: Exit Thunderbird. Renamed mimeTypes.rdf to mimeTypes.rdf.old (in C:\Documents and Settings\janie\Appication Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\ydzm1ve1.default\). Restarted Thunderbird. Tested online - okay.

PROBLEM:
HP Director has stop working???
ACTION TAKEN:
Double-clicked on HP Director. Nothing happened. No HP Director window. Checked Task Manager. Task Manager shows that HP Director is running. If HP Director is running, how come there is no HP Director window on desktop? That's odd. Googled issue. Apparently, IE 7 breaks HP Director.

There are two possible resolutions:
  1. First, kill any HP Director process in Task Manager. Then close Task Manager. Double-click on HP Director (located on Windows desktop). Wait for about two to three seconds. Press both the ALT and SPACEBAR keys. Wait a second. Minimize twice. Ta da. Bob's your uncle. All these steps can be scripted. Unfortunately the script from http://msmvps.com/blogs/spywaresucks/archive/2006/10/22/197647.aspx doesn't work.
  2. Uninstall IE 7

RESOLUTION:
Since the script doesn't work, I uninstalled IE 7. Tested on-line -OKay.
