IBM UpdateXpress System Packs - updateable firmware and device driver updates.

UpdateXpress Tool

This tool will:
  1. Take an inventory of your system
  2. Obtain updates by looking in local directories that you specify and optionally check for updates in the IBM website.
  3. Compare your system information with the update pack and recommend updates to apply.
  4. Installs the updates.

UpdateXpress Installation

  1. Check the Prerequisites.
  2. Download the System pack installer.
  3. Download the System update package.
  4. Use the UpdateXpress System Pack installer to apply the updates.

Using UpdateXpress

RHEL-4 
cd /opt/sysadmin/IBM/UpdateXpress
./uxspi300.rhel4&
RHEL-5 
cd /opt/sysadmin/IBM/UpdateXpress
./uxspi300.rhel5&
